ABOUT ME

I’M DR. SHERRI TAYLOR

Contemplative coach, advisor, and lifelong student of what it means to be fully human

My work centers around guiding people through threshold moments of loss, transition, and awakening — spaces where the truth of things begins to surface.

And like my work, my life has been a practice of staying attuned to what’s real.

NOTHING IS WASTED

Before dedicating myself to coaching and supporting leaders, I worked in marketing, human services, and higher education. I’ve served in roles that spanned psychology, facilitation, coaching, consulting, and spiritual accompaniment — gathering threads from each along the way.

At the time, it didn’t look linear. Looking back, I can see how every piece prepared me for the work I do now.

Over the past few years, with the help of wise mentors, I realized I most align with the archetype of the Advisor.

For me, that means two things:

  • I find joy in learning both extensively and in depth — through formal study and direct experience.

  • I find equal joy in sharing what I’ve learned with others.

This recognition helped me weave together everything I’ve studied and practiced into a way of working that is both rigorous and deeply human.

MY WAY OF BEING

My approach is rooted in both rigor and imagination. I draw on years of study and lived experience, but more than that, I bring a way of being: one that listens deeply, holds complexity, and invites new possibilities to emerge.

TRANSLATING THE UNSEEN

One of my gifts is taking complex life data, material, and ideas and making them as accessible as possible to the broadest array of the human experience.

I serve the world as a teacher when people gain a deep understanding of themselves, their beliefs, and what inspires them—when they are in profound contact with the depth and breadth of their own humanity.

HOLDING PARADOX WITH LIGHTNESS

I’m often told my superpower is the ability to embrace paradox and hold dissonance until something new can emerge.

Humor and curiosity help me bring lightness to serious work, making difficult conversations approachable. I move easily between joy and gravity, grounding big ideas in their wider context while creating space where others can explore safely — with accountability and loving support.

THE OVERLOOKED AND THE INFINITE

As a storyteller, I uncover deeper, often neglected narratives and connect the cosmic with the everyday.

I love weaving together seemingly unrelated concepts to forge new pathways for collaboration and discovery. I’m inspired by the cosmos, the world, and the people and otherkin around me, and by the wisdom that arises when we listen deeply to one another.

WHAT GROUNDS ME

I hold advanced degrees in clinical psychology and have spent over 15 years supporting individuals and organizations through transitions, grief, growth, and personal awakening.

My work is rooted in trauma-informed psychology, systems thinking, and spiritual inquiry, and shaped by training in human development, group dynamics, and somatic intelligence.

I’ve also studied folk traditions, dreamwork, astrology, and contemplative practices as ways of cultivating deeper presence and understanding.

THE MULTI-VERSE WITHIN US

I love to collage — it’s a form of chaos magic and systems thinking!

If I were a mythical beast, I’d be a dragon-wolf (or wolf-dragon).

Everything I do (in work and in life) is about creating space for what’s true to emerge. I’d be honored to walk with you as you discover what’s waiting to unfold.
